Ann Dunham announced her intentions to run for Myrtle Beach City Council in front of a packed house at the Dunes Club yesterday. Among those in attendance were Senator Tom Davis of Beaufort, S.C., North Myrtle Beach Senator Greg Hembree, and S.C. District 34 Senator Stephen L. Goldfinch.
Mrs. Dunham is a long-standing Myrtle Beach businesswoman who believes in government accountability, government transparency, fiscal responsibility, fairness for all Myrtle Beach city residents, and building bridges into greater relationships with all neighborhoods in Horry County.

Reduced crime, safe beaches and effective emergency services.
Clean:
Clean environment, including water quality.
Fun:
Eliminating ordinances not useful, helpful or relevant any longer.
Reduced signage and barricades.
Operating the city ethically and transparently, focusing on problem solving, and including citizen input.
Treating everyone equally. Making the city more business friendly.
Getting the city out of the development business.
Not harassing businesses.
Only taking property with eminent domain for valid public uses.
