Myrtle Beach
Amusement Parks

There are quite a number of amusement parks in the Myrtle Beach area. Some charge admission while others just charge by the ride or an all day pass. There are even season passes for those that plan to come multiple times. Some have standard carnival rides while others just have water rides. This is a wonderful way to spend quality family time together. There is something for everyone.

All Day Passes - Budget Tip
Bear in mind that it is more economical to purchase a pass for the day if you plan to be in the park for a long time. Otherwise by the ride may be the best bet. You have to decide based on your plans for the day.

Recommendation
One of the favorite amusement parks is Family Kingdom, Myrtle Beach’s only amusement park by the sea. They are located at 300 South Ocean Blvd. They have 30 carnival type rides which include a wooden roller coaster and South Carolina’s largest ferris wheel. They also have bumper cars and Go-Kart track. Here you can pay as you go or buy a daily pass.

Recommendation
New to Myrtle Beach is (as of this writing) the newest theme part in the United States, Freestyle Music Park. It is a must for any music lover. There are a number of features including Beale Street Theater, Big Ol’ Trucks with country music, Iron Horse, the Texas Swing, and more, each with its own style of music. For little kids there is Cucloo-Ka-ChooChoo, a kid sized train, Doo Wop Dune Buggies, Fantasy Harbour State Park complete with a climbing wall and several rope courses for kids of all ages and much, much more.
