Myrtle Beach Home Rentals

Recommendation (Travel Tip)

Home rentals can be obtained with as few bedrooms as 2 and as many as 8 for your accommodation needs. These big homes are great for a huge family get together. They can be off the beach which are less expensive or right on the beach. Some have their own private beach. Some even have their own private pool.

Home rentals are good for large family get togethers where you have extended family from several areas all meeting in one place, and you don't want to be spread out all over another type of vacation property. They also tend to be more room and comfortable than hotels and motels, in particular.

Some of these homes will have amenities such as wide screen televisions that you'll never find in other accomodations.

Be Good Guests (Travel and Budget Tip)
Be sure to treat your home rental as if it were your own home, or even better! This will make you a welcome customer in future years, and you will avoid losing part of the deposit you had to put down in advance of the rental. If you develop a good relationship with the owner, you may get discounts or other special considerations on future visits. If you damage or trash the home, they won't even rent it to you again, and don't think that they don't keep tracks of problem renters with other owners in the area.

Go Ocean Front all the way (Travel Tip)
Even though ocean front home rentals are somewhat more expensive, we think it is always worth taking ocean front accommodations. After all, you are going to the beach to enjoy the beach. Budget the extra cost into your vacation plans and do it right. Why travel for hours for your long anticipated getaway, and then have to peer between buildings or around corners to see the sea? Trust me, its much better to relax with your sweetie and your favorite beverage, watching the waves roll in and hearing that unique 'ocean sound'. When you take this advice you'll thank me for giving it.

Discounts at non-traditional resorts (Budget Tip)
You can also rent blocks of days or entire weeks from various home rentals. Sometimes these can be a real bargain, as they are trying to rent these homes as much as possible through out the year. They will give good deals at the last minute to get some income for these homes.

High Season Pricing (Travel Tip)
For the summer season, of course expect higher per night prices, and be sure to make your reservations early. June, July, and August dates fill up fast at the best hotels.
