Myrtle Beach is a mecca for the golf enthusiast with over 80 public golf courses
designed by some of golf’s greatest players and designers. Names
like Pete Dye, Fazio, Davis Love III, Greg Norman, Reese Jones, Arthur
Hills and Arnold Palmer have designed some of the most challenging courses
on which you will ever play. Designs from the British Isles, Scottish links
and Pinehurst style courses. Courses with elevated greens, protected sand
traps, waste bunkers, lakes, water hazards and marsh, make this a golfer’s
paradise (or worst nightmare).
With so many courses available a golfer could play 2 courses a
day on a 2 week vacation and still not play all of the wonderful
courses Myrtle Beach has to offer.
Friends and I have played the Dunes Golf course and had a wonderful
day of golf and fellowship, the classic design was great fun and
we would recommend this course to anyone.
Budget Tip: Check the different courses for golf
packages they may offer and also check the coupon books that you
can find just about everywhere to see what discounts that may be
available.
Budget Tip: Ask at your resort to see if they
have special deals set up with any courses. It is quite common for
each resort to have a special green fee package with at least one
course, and often several.
