Glenns Bay Road is a major roadway that connects Surfside Beach at Highway 17 to Highway 17 Bypass. It starts in Surfside Beach and runs west for about 4 miles before it turns into Highway 17 bypass.

The widening of this road was a necessary step to help traffic congestion issues in the Surfside Beach and Murrells Inlet communities.

The population of this area swelled over the past decade. Home values are also rising with the average home costing more than $300,000.00.

The road construction is now complete and Glenns Bay road is a major entrance and exit into the Surfside Beach beaches, as well as, Garden City Beach.
